Very fresh and fast. Love the free falafel when you walk in the door. The plates are my favorite!

Delicious, great price, chipotle style dining but with flavorful Mediterranean. It's americanized sure, but tastes great.

This is the best "fast food" in FC. Hands down the best falafel, crunchy outside and full of great Mediterranean spice. Everything is fresh, flavorful, delicious and our 4 year old loves it too. We make a point to go anytime on this side of town.

Garbanzo Bean was great! Friendly service, clean chipotle-esque set up, and delicious food. We got a grilled chicken plate and a portobello salad. All of the sides were flavorful. No matter what you pick, you basically can't go wrong. Everything was extremely fresh from the pita bread to the humus to the chips! We wish there was one in our area! *sobs

First time here and was very impressed. The cost of me and my two friends meals was only $25 and we got generous portions of everything we wanted to try on their plate. Not only was everything delicious, but the girl who helped me out was very knowledgeable about the food and I appreciate that! The cute boy at register helps, too. I hope I find one of these back home in San Diego!

Good food but the service is hit or miss. I don't know if it's a high turn over rate or if everyone is just high.

First time eating here and the staff was very friendly and made suggestions which were all great! If you don't know the name of the sauces they have a description too. The thing that surprised me was the taste of the meats. Something about it just screams grilled in a way that a lot of restaurants can't pull off.

There is not a lot of Mediterranean food places in FoCo which is weird, so I was pleasantly surprised when I found this place! It is way south on College, so it is a bit out of the way for me, but I will probably head back there again soon! They are set up as more of a buffet style place, and you watch them make your food, which isn't too bad, but that does cut into the quality a little since it is not super fresh. However the portions are big and the food still tastes fairly good, though I have definitely had better Med food in the past! A nice thing about this place is that they offer you a sample of their Falafel, which is pretty good. Then you decide how you want your food, in a pita or on a plate. I got the shwarma which was fairly good. I think the best thing about it all is being able to add what you want all for a decent price! All in all I will definitely try this place again.

Friendly staff offered falafel samples before ordering. I chose the traditional Gyro highlighted on the menu. It was delicious, topped with healthy serving of diced veggies, feta, and sauce. It was just-right-sized lunch portion that filled me up. While eating it was reassuring to see staff cleaning and sweeping a when not busy even though the place is clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed the lemongrass ginger tea (they had three types, the other two being Pomegranate and traditional Black). Overall, good deal for $10 lunch that was fresh and tasty. A much healthier choice for lunch.

I am a regular at Garbanzo. I usually get the chicken or beef kabobs, but have also had their gyros. Everything is very fresh and tasty! I especially enjoy their hummus and vegetable salad for their sides. If you're looking for something healthy and quick, give Garbanzos a try!

ALWAYS great service. It is something different than burgers, Mexican, Chinese or pizza. I feel I really did eat something healthy. Perfect choices to fill a pita. Great chips. Even love the ice tea choices!! And it is filling and satisfying when you are hungry. A bit pricey but I think it is much more worth your money than Panera for a healthy food choice. ME LIKE.

There is no better option when looking for a fast, affordable, healthy meal. Great felafel, great gyro, great salads, great tzatziki. Loved it.

We love this fresh and light option for fast food. I don't do the McDonalds or Bk scene. Yuk! This is fast and always delish. They will offer a sample falafel when you enter. Take it to start up your taste buds for more Mediterranean fare. My husband opts for the hummus plate and I usually get a kids half pita. Tip: it's almost as big as the whole and they stuff it full and it's half the price! We share a drink, so we get in and out in the cheap. I never feel guilty about eating here. And the staff, especially the managers are friendly and accommodating.

Im glad there are healthier options than full on grease for fast food but garbanzo falls short. I have tried this place a couple times and the falafel is always burned and super dry. The meat is also dry and not tender with a bland taste. It's a little more expensive and I don't feel like I'm getting my money's worth in quality. Overall garbanzo is just fast Mediterranean food that's pretty forgettable, It had the potential to be really good and just wasn't.

The only reason I gave them 4 stars is 1. their tabbouleh wasn't very good and 2. they were out of wheat pitas. Everything else was great! I had a chicken shwarma plate with veggies, salad, tabbouleh and hummus. It's a great option for healthy fast food that tastes good and offers choices for people who don't like salad (my husband). The steak shwarma was great too. FYI: The calorie counts are available online if anyone cares. Extra points for being located next to TCBY so you can go spend the rest of your calories on brownie topped froyo.

Great and fast service, delicious food, as well as filling! Plenty of options for the "vegan" eater!

This place is great. The employees are incredibly nice, the ingredients are fresh, and the sizes are great for the price. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a healthy meal for a reasonable priced.

The traditional and falafel gyros are excellent. Everything tasted fresh and refreshing.

Meh. Staff is good, space is attractive but the food is . . . spectacularly mediocre. Mediterranean food should be so much better then this.

We had a rough day...one of those days where you don't want to cook but don't want to eat out either. That middle ground is take-out, and my sister brought us home some Garbanzo platters to feed us with. It seems that Garbanzo is kind of like a Greek Moe's/ Chipolte...you build your own meal via fresh ingredients that are assembled in front of you. She brought me home a beef plate and I was pretty happy. After choosing the manner of transporting food (pita, plate or laffa) you choose your protein, then top it off with sides, veggies and sauces. There was a lot going on in this plate, with tasty steak mixed in alongside rice, couscous, veggies and a salad. My sister kinda poured a bunch of sauces over the entire plate, so I ended up just eating the entire thing mixed together. The plate also came with a pita, so I would break off a small piece of pita pocket, stuff it with the smorgasbord on my plate, and then devour that tasty morsel. As strange as it sounds, everything combined together for one tastetacular meal! Not something I would want everynight or to sit down to, but for those days when you want a healthier fast food but don't want Mexican, Garbanzo is a good alternative.

Fast (duh), friendly, delicious, and reasonably priced. Don't know if I'd drive across town for it, but if I'm in the area and hungry then this is a great option.

I didn't know fast food could be healthy, once I ate at Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill. I've been eating there almost every day, ever since. The service is great! When you walk in, they give you a free falafel sample. Samples of dolmas and portobella mushrooms are available by request. The food is delicious, and healthy! All ingredients are fresh, except for the pickles; which are imported from Isreal. I always get a chicken falarma laffa, with a little bit of everything on it. Iced teas are the bomb!

Garbanzo is a casual place that serves Mediterranean food. It is by far not one of my favorite Mediterranean places. Mediterranean cuisine at least in the area where I live seems to be an underdog as far as getting as many customers as say like Mexican or Asian food. You can pick from pitas, salads and other little yummy things that go with being Mediterranean. The food tastes fresh and you feel healthy in eating it but is just not a huge 'yes' on the authenticity scale. That is ok though, it is a chain and not all that bad one at that. Everyone that works here seems friendly and eager to keep the line moving but not wanting to make you feel neglected in case you have any questions. I look forward to more visits here in the future when the mood arises!

What a tasty plate. This place is now on my weekly rotation for lunch. I can eat a healthy vegetarian meal for 6 cents under $7. I prefer the falafel to the meat options. Their pickled eggplant is so freakin good. I know it is a small chain but it is worth supporting this style of fast food. Not a 5-star restaurant, the 5 stars are for the style of fast food restaurant. They do a good job getting you fed and feeling good. I suggest going with the plate option.

This is pretty much a Chiplote that serves Mediterranean food. Its basically the same 'fast-casual' format. I like the idea of this place but something just doesn't click with the menu layout. I'm so used to entering a shady deli or a food cart to buy Mediterranean food the clean cut corporate look of Garbanzo really throws me off. The restaurant is very clean and the staff are really friendly. They even give you a free felafel to much on wile you order your food. The lady that took our order was very accommodating since this was our first time here. My problem was the food, for everything i liked on the plate there was something i didn't like. It really came out to a 50:50 ratio between the things i liked and didn't. The Hummus, Tzatziki Sauce, and the pita where great. The Stuffed grape leaf, saffron rice, and tabbouleh i didn't really care for. I might just need to go a few more times to rule out what i like and what i don't, next time i go i plan to just go crazy on the meats and see how they are. I intend on going back to give it another shot. In the meantime though i still prefer my med food to be a sloppy gyro served from a dirty cart.

Great food! I am trying to eat healthier. They had some good vegetarian options

  • J A.

Mediocre "ethnic" food. Granted: better for you than other fast food options, Garbanzo's really misses the boat in freshness and flavor. It's too much to ask for and old-school, dirty-but-delicious falafel stand. It's Fort Collins, not Brooklyn. Even so, there are a lot of missed flavor and texture opportunities and the Chipotle-style warming-pan line and incongruous options ruin the basics. Extra minus point for hearing the cashier say, a half dozen times, "There's a survey at the bottom of your receipt. Give us all fives, and we'll hook you up with a free side or drink." How do you like these two stars? Keep your dolmas; the ones you can buy in cans have more flavor.

If the meal were served, on china with metal utensils and cloth napkins, and it took 20 minutes to arrive, I'd still rate it a 4 star. The 2 kabobs plate is superb with generous veggies and choice of steak, chicken or mushrooms with yellow rice, hummus, pita or home made chips, and a Greek veggie scoop. All this for under $10. All items are marked for GF and vegetarian. Service is there to please and they will mix things to get you your meal quickly. Don't forget to sign up for their points card which pays off on your next visit (requires online registration). I look forward to our visits!

I haven't been to many Mediterranean restaurant's, so I might not be the best person to review Garbanzo's - At any rate, both times I've been to this restaurant, it's been great. The first time, I went to the location in Aurora (Corner Star) and I recently went to the new location in Fort Collins. The food was good. The falafel was hot, crispy and all around yummy. I also just heard that they are donating a portion of sales on a certain day to Team Fort Collins - a nonprofit I work with in planning their annual fundraiser. I am not exactly sure of their donation policy, but when I hear of a restaurant helping local nonprofits raise money, that's a great thing in my book.

For a counter/fast food option, Garbanzo is one of the more healthy routes to take. However, there are a couple things about the format that are annoying and prevent this place from getting a higher rating. Some of us enjoy protein -- lots of it. Unfortuntately, they load your plate with lots of "side dishes", and unless I totally missed it, there isn't even an "extra meat" option to get more chicken sprinkled on the plate. The small scoop of chicken bummed me out. I found the person behind the counter to be friendly. Again. Not the best, but far from the worst.

Whenever I come across a difficult situation that results in some challenging decision making, I go to making the "Pros and Cons" list. I'm a visual person, and seeing the balance on paper really helps clear it up for me. I've made lists for difficult life decisions that involved moving across the west coast, what type of car to purchase, employment opportunities, and even health care decisions. After dining at Garbanzo's a couple of times, I really couldn't come to a clear decision on their star rating. So you know what? I made a "Pros and Cons" list. Yeah, I even do that for Feasting Fort Collins, apparently. Pros 1. It's one of the healthier fast-casual options in Fort Collins. 2. They have an incredible Kids Meal option. 3. They have nutritional labeling right on their menu board! 4. They make their pitas fresh throughout the day; they taste soft and full of comforting bread flavor. 5. They are very budget-friendly. 6. Their hummus is incredibly creamy and very tasty. 7. The babaganoush is some of the best I've ever tasted - a tad on the roasted smokey side. 8. Pickled eggplant? I loved its tangy, sweetness! 9. They make pita chips that, while too salty, are pretty good. Cons 1. Their shwarma isn't really shwarma (shaved rotisserie meats sliced from the spit). Just grilled meats. 2. The steak and chicken are really tough in texture. 3. The falafel has been a cold and stale every time. Little warm in the center; thick, cold fried crust, and not flavorful! 4. Their sauces are a little flat in flavor. 5. The dolmas? Just skip them. Creamy rice mixture that just isn't working for me. 6. Their signature mint and pomegranate lemonades just taste like sweet lemonade. They aren't my top recommendation for fast-casual Mediterranean in Fort Collins, but I'd still swing by for a plate full of hummus and vegetables with a fresh whole wheat pita. I really appreciate that they are so healthy and so budget-friendly - it's a difficult combo to find! Looking at the list, I think it's still a tough call on the rating decision, mostly because all of the protein options need to step it up on quality.

Garbanzo, I wish I had better news. I been here more than a handful of times, and on any occasion, I've never been completely wowed. I appreciate the free falafel at the head of the line, when I eventually get there. The waiting line is a pretty narrow space that's quite a ways off from the menu so it's a bit hard to peruse while you wait. Even harder since they're out of the paper ones by the door. It's even more disheartening when the crew behind the counter is running back and forth all over the place. Would also be great if the falafel wasn't over cooked like little charcoal briquettes. When I do get my order going and make my way down the line, the entire ingredient area is an absolute disaster. I'm not a huge fan of pickled eggplant but seeing as how it's half in the hummus and half in the tabuleh, I guess I don't really have much of a choice. And the flies. There are an incredible amount of flies in this place. Bug zapper, fly paper, anything. Yelling shoo or ignoring them won't make them go away. I'm thankful for Garbanzo bringing healthy fast food to The Fort. I'm glad I've found something I like there. Just seems like they were so excited to open, that a couple important things are getting passed over. Reign it in GB!

Garbano's is the Chipotle to Mediterranean food. I think it's a great concept, but there is definitely room for improvement. It's not the most authentic mediterranean food in town, but it's a great place to grab a fast, healthy, cheap, delicious meal. I haven't tried the beef, but the chicken and falafel have a good flavor. They have plenty of veggie options as well. I will say, however, do yourself a favor and pass on the dolmas. They might be the worst dolmas I have ever experienced (including the ones I used to eat from a can in college). I will definitely return here and I recommend it to others. (if you want more Authentic Mediterranean restaurant in FC, try Yum Yum's... It's my favorite).

I have to agree with the Hans... Not completely wowed. The food was ok and it was healthy but it seemed kind bland and tasteless. May have just been what I ordered. The service saved the day, great staff, very helpful. I do tend to be a meat and potato's girl so I missed the bigger presence of meat on the menu. I think I will give this place another shot, maybe let my fellow Yelpers tell me what to order? :)
